Superbug linked to homosexual behavior ‘Society hasn’t learned from the AIDS pandemic’

Eerily reminiscent of reports a quarter century ago of the rapidly spreading AIDS epidemic, a new variety of staphylococcus bacteria, highly resistant to antibiotics, is now spreading among homosexual males in San Francisco, Boston, New York and Los Angeles, according to a new report in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

“Wake up, medical and political establishment: Homosexual behavior is unhealthy – no matter how many secular sermons you preach against ‘homophobia,’” wrote Peter LaBarbera in a statement on the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality website.

“Due to liberal political correctness, which insists on treating aberrant – even deadly – behaviors and lifestyles as a ‘civil right,’ we as a society don’t seem to have learned much from the AIDS pandemic,” he said.

He called it an “eerie reminder” of the first stories about AIDS. “It is unfathomable that after that plague, disease specialists and the media are now surprised at the correlation of a new infection with homosexual behavior,” he said.

The study noted that cases were found in the highest concentrations in and around San Francisco’s Castro district and in patients who visit health clinics that treat HIV infections in homosexuals in Boston and San Francisco.

The bacteria is called methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and has been seen previously in hospitalized patients. However over the last few years, researchers said its impact has expanded, with a strain called USA300 now being documented as an exceptionally drug-resistant variant.

The bacteria is resistant to six common antibiotics, and the study revealed that nearly 1 in 500 residents in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood is infected. The risk homosexuals will contract it is 13 times greater than the rest of the city’s population.

“We probably had it here first, and now it is spreading elsewhere,” Binh An Deip, the report’s lead author, told the San Francisco Chronicle. “This is a national problem, and San Francisco is at the epicenter.”

The infection causes boils and other infections but the report said what is unusual is that up to 40 percent of the infections occur in the buttocks and genitalia.

“Data … suggest that multidrug-resistant USA300 has spread rapidly among men who have sex with men in San Francisco and Boston, and that having male-male sex seems to be a risk factor…,” the report said.

The report also warned that because of the “patterns of increased sexual risk behaviors” among homosexuals, largely because of a carelessness that has resulted from “the availability of potent antiretroviral therapy” to treat HIV, there also has been an accompanying resurgence in early syphilis, rectal gonorrhea and new HIV infections among the homosexual populations studied.

Some cases even have developed into “necrotizing fascitis,” the so-called “flesh-eating” disease because of its quick progression that often requires surgery, or amputation, to halt its progress, the report said.

“It is not clear whether the behavior potentiating these infections among men who have sex with men is anal sex …, skin-abrading sexual practices, or increased frequency of intimate skin-to-skin contact; prevention messages may therefore need to suggest caution in each of these practices,” the report said.

LaBarbera said the following questions need to be answered urgently:

* Why aren’t all schoolchildren being taught that there are special health risks associated with homosexual behavior and that they should “just say no” to homosexuality?
* Why won’t the news media make the common-sense connection between these frequent stories about (male) homosexual behavior and disease – to the idea that perhaps it’s probably not smart for society and pop culture to celebrate homosexuality and bisexuality?;
* Why isn’t there a concerted government effort – akin to the current anti-smoking campaigns – to reign in homosexual promiscuity – beginning with closing down all sex businesses (bathhouses) that facilitate homosexual perversion?

He noted just one reader comment in the Chronicle:

“We as a species just don’t seem to get it: There are consequences to behavior!” wrote luvgabe. “We no longer take AIDS seriously anymore because of drug treatment, so we go back to doing the same behavior, which brings on a new epidemic that now threatens to jump the boundary to become a hetero scourge as well.”

The report noted the bacteria resists “several important antimicrobial classes for treatment … including clindamycin, tetracycline, and mupirocin.” It actually fails to respond significantly to erythromycin, Cipro-like antibiotics and drugs in the penicillin family, too.

Of the antibiotics still available in the battle, the study warns, “prudent use … for suspected MRSA disease in men who have sex with men is advisable to slow the emergence of even more resistant community-associated MRSA.”

The federal Centers for Disease Control documents that various forms of MRSA are costing 19,000 lives annually in the United States already.

The study estimated some 200 cases of the new bacterial variant are developing in San Francisco annually, mostly among homosexuals.

“We are nowhere near the peak,” Diep told the newspaper.

Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues with Concerned Women for America, said society has adopted a lassez faire attitude toward such sexual behaviors.

“Television shows like Will and Grace glorify the homosexual lifestyle while our children are taught in schools that homosexuality is a perfectly healthy, alternative sexual ‘orientation.’ ‘Stay out of our bedrooms!’ we’re often commanded by militant ‘gay’ activists,” he said. “Well, now the dangerous and possibly deadly consequence of what occurs in those bedrooms is spilling over into the general population. It’s not only frightening, it’s infuriating.

“Citizens, especially parents, need to stand up and say, ‘No More! We will no longer sit idly by while politically correct cultural elites endanger our children and larger communities through propagandist promotion of this demonstrably deadly lifestyle,’” he said.

There are others that believe that we are once-saved-always-saved, however, that is not biblically correct, because nowhere in the bible does it say that once we are saved, we are always saved, it says quite the contrary….That will be a discussion for another post….

War over indoctrination moves to initiative arena
Pro-family groups seeking to overturn ‘gay’ mandates

The battle in California over a new state law that would mandate a positive – and no other – portrayal of bisexuals, homosexuals, transgenders and others choosing alternative sexual lifestyles in public schools has moved into a campaign for an initiative.

Officials with Save Our Kids made the announcement yesterday after confirming that their effort to obtain 434,000 signatures for a referendum fell short, coming up with 350,000 names.

“For a completely volunteer-driven campaign to obtain this number of signatures is unheard of,” said Karen England, director of the Save Our Kids campaign, and executive director of Capitol Resource Family Impact.

“We had to overcome incredible difficulties during our signature gathering, including the holidays, and the results are astonishing,” she said.

However, the state requirement of 434,000 valid voter signatures for a referendum addressing SB 777 to be put on the 2008 election ballots means the campaign now will begin addressing the requirements for an initiative.

“While we didn’t reach the threshold of required signatures, we have surprised political observers with the amazing amount of signatures we gathered in just 70 days. It is unheard of for a volunteer-only effort to find this kind of support, especially in a state as large as California.”

She said the high level of support that is apparent prompted the group to file an initiative with the state attorney general to overturn the new law.

“This initiative will give us double the amount of time to gather signatures, while accomplishing the same goal of eliminating the extreme policies of SB 777,” she said. “Many California citizens are just now finding out about SB 777 and are outraged. By filing an initiative, we will give even more citizens the opportunity to voice their anger over the passage of this radical bill.”

Co-chairs of the campaign have included state Sen. George Runner and Assembly members Joel Anderson, Bob Huff, Doug La Malfa, Sharon Runner, Audra Strickland as well as legislative candidates Dennis Mountjoy, Larry Dick and Jim Nelson.

Organizations participating in or endorsing the effort have included Focus on the Family, Capitol Resource Institute, California Eagle Forum, California Family Council, Christian Educators Association International, California Republican Assembly, Concerned Women for America-California, Family Leaders Network Pacific Justice Institute and several other prominent groups.

WND has reported that the plan to establish SB777 as state law was supported by organizations recommending homosexual literature to children as young as age 2.

A list of school resources, sponsored by a homosexual-advocacy group called Safe Schools Coalition, suggests that for those who are only two years old, there’s “Felicia’s Favorite Story,” which tells how she was “adopted by her two mothers.”

The list also promotes a book called “Are You a Girl or a Boy?” by Karleen Jiminez, a resource for children ages 4-8 when advocating homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism and other alternative lifestyle choices.

It’s described as “A sweet book about a gender-different kid.”

Other resources being promoted in light of California’s adoption of SB 777 as state law include books authored by officials for Planned Parenthood and the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.

One book, called “Tackling Gay Issues in School,” is for kindergarten through grade 12, and offers a “rationale (for the inclusion of les/bi/gay/trans issues in school).” It features recommended “extracurricular” activities for classes.

The promotion of such materials has coincided with the recent admission by Equality California, a homosexual advocacy group that worked to have SB 777 passed by lawmakers and signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, that the bill really does edit all school curricula in California.

For months while California lawmakers discussed Senate Bill 777, opponents worried about its usefulness in censoring public school curricula to include a pro-homosexual bias. Supporters, however, steadfastly maintained that it only clarified anti-discrimination laws already on the books. They still hold that stance, with recent statements from both Schwarzenegger’s office and Equality California.

Sabrina Lockhart, a spokeswoman for the governor, insisted it is a “technical bill” intended to clarify anti-discriminations laws.

“It simply takes anti-discrimination language used in other areas of [state law] such as employment and puts that in the education code,” she said.

And Ali Bay of Equality California told WND the new law “doesn’t require that any specific curriculum be included in California’s classrooms.”

Technically it is correct that the law doesn’t “require inclusion.” But opponents say it does now ban anything that can be “perceived” as being discriminatory, up to and including references to “mom” and “dad” or “husband” and “wife.”

“The terms ‘mom and dad’ or ‘husband and wife’ could promote discrimination against homosexuals if a same-sex couple is not also featured,” said Meredith Turney, the legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Institute.

“Parents want the assurance that when their children go to school they will learn the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic – not social indoctrination regarding alternative sexual lifestyles. Now that SB 777 is law, schools will in fact become indoctrination centers for sexual experimentation,” she said.

The new law demands, “No teacher shall give instruction nor shall any school district sponsor any activity that promotes a discriminatory bias because of a characteristic [including perceived gender.]“

“All along, Capitol Resource Family Impact has maintained that the true agenda behind SB 777 is to infuse school curriculum with pro-homosexual, and other controversial lifestyles, propaganda. The proponents of the bill countered that this was not true and the law would merely ’streamline’ anti-discrimination laws for schools. Based on our 20-year experience with the homosexual lobby, we know that a common tactic is to maintain innocence and then utilize vague language to push a radical agenda. We expected the same of SB 777 and we are already witnessing the same pattern,” England said.

WND already has reported how the Gay Straight Alliance has forwarded instructions to its California chapters with information on how to make sure homosexuality is taught in public schools, and its warning having students and parents simply “tolerate” homosexuality is not enough.

“Tolerance education is an important first step, but we need to push further,” the instructions said. “Infuse LGBTQ curriculum into history, social science, and literature classes,” is the organization’s plan.

WND also has reported how thousands of requests for information about homeschooling and Christian school are bombarding organizations that support those efforts.

A spokeswoman for a ministry called Considering Homeschooling said she already has seen an overwhelming increase in requests for information about homeschooling.

As a result, spokeswoman Denise Kanter told WND that her group is sending out 5,000 DVD packages to churches around the state that include basic “how-to” information to provide parents a direction to turn when they choose to protect their children from the new school agenda.

Another group’s website, Discover Christian Schools, has been getting almost 4,000 visits per day as parents seek alternatives, co-founder Harold Naylor Jr. said.

The non-profit Advocates for Faith and Freedom also has filed a lawsuit challenging a SB 777.

“FALSE DOCTRINE; MORMONS” PART (2)

Hello everyone;

Tonight I am going to expose the false doctrine that the religious cult the Mormons are teaching there people, it’s truly horrifying to know that they believe that the bible isn’t the truth about God, or as they put it, not the only word of God….However, if you read the scripture below about what God says about other doctrine teachings other than the gospel out of the bible, those people will be accursed….My God, My God…. If it isn’t in the bible, well then, it isn’t of God, period!

Gal 1:8-9
(8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Basic Mormon Doctrine:

ScripturesThe Mormon Church holds that the Bible alone is not the only word of God. They claim that there are three other scriptures as well-the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.The Book of Mormon are the words Smith translated from the golden plates he claimed he found on a hill in New York state called Cumorah. It contains the records of the ancient people in South and Central America from about 600 BC to about 400 AD. Joseph Smith claimed that these people were of two groups. One came from the Tower of Babel when the Lord confounded their tongues in Genesis and the other came from Jerusalem.The second of the new scriptures is the Doctrine and Covenants. This is the written record of revelations given to Smith during the early years of the church until 1836.

This is their main book of doctrine. Most of the beliefs they have come from this book and the third new book-the Pearl of Great Price.The Pearl of Great Price is the shortest of all the books. One part of it is the account of Abraham not included in the Bible. Smith translated it out of papyri that he claimed Abraham had used to write on. It contains the Mormon version of the creation account and our life as spirits in heaven before the earthly body. The second part of the Pearl of Great Price is the book of Moses. This is a revision of the Bible that Smith claimed to have received in a revelation from the Father.God and Eternal Progression To understand the Mormon concept of God, we first have to understand a concept called Eternal Progression, or the fact that a man can be exalted to the state of a god after obeying the church’s ordinances and creeds.

Mormons believe that there are many gods who rule other worlds. However, there are only three that we need be concerned about. These three are the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. Mormonism believes that these three are separate gods. Thus, they deny the Trinity.A famous statement by Lorenzo Snow says this, “As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become.” This sums Eternal Progression up in a nutshell. Mormonism believes that Heavenly Father was once a human like we are. He was the literal spirit child of his father and he obtained a human body by being born. By obeying the laws and creeds his father had set forth on the planet he ruled, Heavenly Father was exalted to godhood and became ruler of our planet.

After Heavenly Father, whose real name is Elohim according to Mormonism, was exalted to godhood, he obtained the planet earth to rule over. He and his wife, our Heavenly Mother, had spirit children in the same way that we have children here on earth. The only difference is that these children do not have physical bodies.Mormons believe that Jesus is the first of the spirit children. Lucifer, or Satan, was the second. As God, Heavenly Father had the right to determine just exactly how his spirit children would progress and become a ruler of another world like he had done. Heavenly Father called a Grand Council for ideas about how to be exalted. Jesus and Lucifer each submitted a plan. When Jesus’ plan was chosen, Lucifer became angry.

Lucifer led a rally with a third of the spirit children on his side. Heavenly Father kicked them out of heaven and down to earth. It was like a civil war. Spirit child against spirit child. The children who fought bravely were rewarded on earth by having white skin, and those who were cowards and refused to fight against Lucifer and his one third were given dark skin as humans. This is the explanation Mormonism gives as to why humans have different skin colors today.Mormonism claims that Jesus’ plan was this: the spirit children would be placed in human bodies and would have no recollection of pre-mortal existence. They would be given a free will to chose good and evil and therefore, would sin because they had a free will to do so.

If they followed the gospel, they could then be exalted to godhood. Christ would die on the cross to let us be forgiven of Adam’s sin and the rest would be up to us to be perfect to get to the highest level of heaven.In order to be exalted to godhood one must have faith in Christ, repent of sins, be baptized by immersion so that the sins would be forgiven, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hand of someone holding the Melchizedek Priesthood, obstain from caffene and tobacco, be married and sealed in one of the temples, and perform baptisms for the dead in the temples. If one does not do all of these things, when he dies he will go to Spirit Prison.Spirit Prison, Paradise, and a Second ChanceMormon theology says that everyone will have a second chance at receiving the gospel in another world.

This world is know as the Spirit World. It contains Spirit Paradise for those who have accepted the gospel according to Mormonism and Spirit Prison for those who have not accepted it.Those in Spirit Prison will have a second chance to hear the gospel. Spirits from Spirit Paradise will come over and preach to them the gospel of according to Mormonism. As on earth, there will be free will there and some will accept and some will reject. Since baptism is necessary according to Mormonism, baptisms by proxy are performed by faithful Mormons for their ancestors in one of the 52 temples the Mormons now have.After someone has been baptized for an ancestor, this causes a spirit in Spirit Paradise to come over and preach the gospel to the ancestor in Spirit Prison and the spirit in prison can either accept the gospel and the baptism or reject it.

If he accepts it, he is then admitted to Paradise and allowed to go into the Celestial Kingdom and become a god on another world as all others in paradise will have.3 Levels of HeavenThe Celestial Kingdom is one of the three levels of heaven. The Terrestrial and the Telestial are the other two. Almost everyone who has ever lived will enter one of these levels.The Celestial Kingdom is reserved for those being exalted to godhood. In this Kingdom, one has fellowhip with Heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost anytime he wants it. He will rule on another world and have spirit children with his wife just like Heavenly Father has done. Only men can be allowed to become gods. Women can enter the Celestial Kingdom as wives, but only if their husband calls them up to his world.

The Terrestrial Kingdom is reserved for those who are faithful to their own religion or who are good and moral people, but who have not followed Mormonism to the letter as required to enter Celestial Glory. In the Terrestrial Kingdom one has fellowship with Jesus and the Holy Ghost, but never with Heavenly Father.The lowest level of heaven is called the Telestial Kingdom. It is reserved for the wicked of the world, for those who had none or few morals and committed murder and the like sins. In this degree of heaven one will only have fellowship with the Holy Ghost occasionally, never with Jesus or Heavenly Father.Mormonism rejects the idea of hell as traditional Christianity sees it. They do believe in hell, but it is reserved only for Satan and his demons.

They do, however, believe in something called Outer Darkness. Essentially, this is total separation from any other creature for eternity. Here there is no family for eternity as in the three levels of heaven. This is only reserved for the Sons of Perdition, or those who have accepted the Mormon gospel and then have turned away from it and oppossed it bitterly.Eternal Marriage One thing that is key to understanding all of this is the fact that Mormons believe that marriage is forever. They believe that once they are sealed to their spouse in the temple, they will live with their family forever and be able to produce spirit offspring. To them, marriage is eternal in the Celestial Kingdom. Marriage is also binding in the other degrees of glory as well. In the Terrestrial and Telestial Kingdoms it is impossible to produce spirit children as in the Celestial Kingdom however.

Number one, we can never be Gods, that is just not possible, it is not biblical, there is only one God, we will become as angels, not Gods, your doctrine is in error! This is an example of what happens when a religion follows other doctrine besides what is written in the bible, you become lost, and confused in your beliefs, and a little closer to the gates of hell!

There is danger when we decide to follow mans doctrine instead of God and what he had the Apostles write in the bible, remember, the bible is the inspired written word of God….God’s spirit (The Holy Ghost) moved on the Apostles and they began to write God’s word, as God wanted it wrote…Now, about other gods as they put it, over other worlds, also, the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost; Mormons believe they are three separate gods, however, they deny the trinity…”Wow”, what a contradiction, or there just plain liars whom are confused….If they ever read the bible, not some watered down version of who knows what, they would know that, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one….As it says in the book of:

There are many other scriptures on one God, however, I think you get the idea of there being just one God, and he is a Jealous God…Man will never be equal unto God, it is not biblical…Oh, and we do not have any heavenly mother either, God is not married, remember, the bible says there won’t be any marriage in heaven…Our heavenly Fathers name is Jesus Christ, the Mormons don’t even know the name of God, I gave you scripture on that above, John 1:1,14; I Timothy 3:16 ….And let me say again,”There is a heaven and a hell,” no purgatory, again, if it’s not in the bible, well it just isn’t of God…

Mormans doctrine describes three levels of heaven, Celestial kingdom, the Terrestrial and the Telestial…However the way they describe these heavens makes one want to puke….There are three heavens, but not like they would have you believe….There described in the book of:

Luke 24:51
(51) And it came to pass, (1) while he blessed them,he was parted from them, and carried up into (2) heaven…

Flagnotes (1) (24:51) The attitude of our Lord here characterizes this age. It is one of grace; an ascended Lord is blessing a believing people with spiritual blessings. The Jewish age was marked by temporal blessings as the reward of an obedient people ( Deuteronomy 28:1-15). In the kingdom-age spiritual and temporal blessings unite.

(2) (24:51) The scriptures distinguish three heavens: first, the lower heavens, or the region of the clouds; secondly, the second or planetary heavens; and, thirdly, the heaven of heavens, the abode of God.

It is also true that God created hell for satan and the beasts, let’s look in the book of:

BAPTISMS:

The Mormons doctrine on baptisms would have you believe that you could be baptized for an ancestor, however, if your ancestor wasn’t baptized when they were alive, well, they are sitting in hell today…Here again, there is no scripture on being baptized for someone else, especially someone that is already dead…If this person wasn’t born again while alive on earth, well then, there is no way they can be saved now….As it says in the book of:

John 3:3-7
(3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

(4) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

(5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

(7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.KJV

As it is written in the bible, you must be born again of the water, and of the Spirit, or you will not even see the kingdom of God….There is no other way, this is a commandment from Jesus Christ himself….Also in the book of:

Matt 28:19-20
(19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

(20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.KJV

Again, Jesus Christ is commanding his children to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ; If you look closely,it says in the name, not names…Who is the Father? Who is the Son? Who is the Holy Ghost? Well the answer is Jesus Christ….And the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are titles not names; therefore we must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, Praise God, Praise God….And again, there will be no marriage in heaven, we will be as angels, and that is in my bible…..Well, I pray that you have a blessed day….Stick with the bible and throw away the other books, because they are full of lies and deciet, which will confuse you, they will lie to you…..

“FALSE DOCTRINE; PART (1) JEHOVAH WITNESSES”

Hello everyone;

I am starting a blog about false doctrine mainly because I am about truth, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, and I will pick up my cross and follow my Father, Jesus Christ….Although, there are many false doctrines out there being taught, and I will expose them, it will take many posts to explain each false doctrine out there….This Jehovah Witness doctrine is a classic example of the false teachings being taught to unlearned people(sinners) out there in this world….One of the many mistakes in their doctrine is the name of God which they say is Jehovah, well Jehovah means God, but it is not his name….In the book of:

John 1:1,10,14 (1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God….
(10) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not…..
(14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth….

Just these three scriptures alone tell me that God and Jesus are one in the same, in other words one God, and his name is Jesus Christ….In the book of:

I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory….

This scripture takes away the mystery of who God is, again his name is Jesus Christ…. And again in the book of:

John 10:30 I and my Father are one….
John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him….

Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty….

Here again, Jesus Christ himself tells us that He and the Father are one in the same, I don’t know about you,but I cannot deny the word of God….How anybody in there right mind can get the Word confused to mean something else, has been confused from the very beginning….It just doesn’t make since to change or to twist God’s word to mean something totally different….

Now let’s move on; the Jehovah Witness doctrine says that only 144,000 will go to heaven and serve God, however, they didn’t read far enough into the book of:

Rev 7:3-17
(3) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

(4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

(5) Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

(6) Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

(7) Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

(8) Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

(9) After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.

(10) And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

(11) And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God.

(12) Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

From what I read in my bible, yes, there will be 144,000 children from Israel sealed the servants of God, but there will also be a great multitude, an innumerable amount, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, and will stand before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hands…As the Jehovah Witness would have you believe that the 144,000 are the only ones to go to heaven and be God’s servants, but the bible says otherwise….

Now let’s move on to the Jehovah Witnesses thoughts on the cross, they say Jesus died on a stake and not a cross, however, in my bible it clearly says cross, like in the book of:

For without the cross, without the blood, this would not be possible….There would be no salvation, there wouldn’t be a Saviour…..Our sins were nailed to the cross and to the flesh that day at Calvary….

Now let’s talk about the belief of the Jehovah Witnesses that Christ was the first thing God created, which as it says in the book of:

Gen 1:1-3

(1) In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.

(2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

(3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.KJV

There is no biblical scripture of Christ being the first thing created by God, simply because Jesus Christ is God which I already explained earlier….As the scriptures say, the heaven and the earth were the first things created….Because of man making his own doctrine (false doctrine), that is why so many people are lost, when Jesus comes back and he will return for his children, I would not want to go before him and have to explain why I was teaching false doctrine instead of his gospel….It is written in the bible that his word will stand forever, God and his word has never changed, nor will it, as it says in the book of:

Matthew 24: 35
(35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away….

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever….

Okay, now let’s talk about the soul, according to Jehovah Witnesses, the soul ceases to exist after we die in the flesh, but I have bible that says different….In the book of:

As you can see, the soul will live forever, however, it will either spend eternity in heaven with our Father, or in eternal damnation in hell burning forever and ever….The choice is ours, do we live a holy and godly life being obedient unto God, or do we become disobedient children and go to hell…If you are living a life of sin and iniquity, well sin equals death, meaning your soul will go to hell… Oh, and that’s the next thing I will talk about, HELL, is it real?

Jehovah Witnesses believe that hell is in our grave, but that is not biblical…Hell is real just like heaven is real; in the book of:

SUMMARY:

Well the (JW) believe in one God, however they don’t know what his name is…JW believes that they are the chosen ones, that if your not a JW, then you will not be saved, well, scripture says different, there will be a great multitude of Gentiles which no man can number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues….Folks, you should look up Jehovah Witness doctrine some time and read the history of there religion, and see how it has changed back and forth over the years…. the men that make up the JW religion, change the doctrine as they see fit….Here’s another thing, God said in the book of:

So, a man would not want to change the word of God, neither add to, nor take away from the word of God…..Another thing, what is there plan of salvation? I guess they feel that they are the annointed, and are perfect….I think they believe alone the same line as these, Once Saved, Always Saved doctrine of thinking….However, once saved always saved is not biblical, just because you get saved doesn’t mean you automaticly got a ticket into heaven, because we are human and are sinners, we can fall into sin real easy, salvation is freely given us, but it is something worked for, because our spirit is at war with our flesh daily….

Our adversary the devil is like a roaring lion waiting to trip up Gods children…..JW believe in the trinity, well sort of, this is there version of trinity; “Jehovah God” the “Father”, then “Michael the Arch Angel,”aka “Jesus Christ” who is “Jehovah’s Son” and “Jehovah’s creative force”…They do not acknowledge the Holy Ghost, it brings up strong connotations of fear and evil… However, they will claim that Jehovah is the only God…. They try to separate the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost into being persons, number one, there is not three, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, are one, they are titles, not names, all three titles equal JESUS CHRIST, for instance, I am a father, a son, a husband, but my name is Johnnie and there is only one of me, not three….

Number two, God is not a person, but a Spirit….Well I hope and pray that this will help you to understand about the Jehovah Witnesses doctrine (religion)….The men Joey Rutherford and Fred Franz show how man can take the bible and translate it into what there beliefs are and totally take it out of context, Israel is indeed the chosen people of God, however, Gentiles shall be saved to and that is in my bible….It’s really hard to find a closing point on this particular writing because there is so much to discuss, I am concerned for the lost souls out there in the world, I love God, and I love his word (The gospel)….

JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES believe in Almighty God, Jehovah, Creator of the heavens and the earth. The very existence of the intricately designed wonders in the universe surrounding us reasonably argues that a supremely intelligent and powerful Creator produced it all. Just as the works of men and women reflect their qualities, so do those of Jehovah God. The Bible tells us that “his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made.” Also, without voice or words, “the heavens are declaring the glory of God.”—

People do not mold clay pots or make television sets and computers without a purpose. The earth and its creations of plant and animal life are far more marvelous. The structure of the human body with its trillions of cells is beyond our understanding—even the brain with which we think is incomprehensibly wonderful! If men have a purpose in bringing forth their comparatively insignificant inventions, surely Jehovah God had a purpose in his awesome creations! “Everything Jehovah has made for his purpose.”

Jehovah made the earth for a purpose, as he stated to the first human pair: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth . . . , have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.” Because they became disobedient, this couple failed to fill the earth with righteous families who would lovingly care for the earth and its plants and animals. But their failure does not make Jehovah’s purpose fail. Thousands of years later, it was written: “God, the Former of the earth . . . , did not create it simply for nothing.” He “formed it even to be inhabited.” It is not to be destroyed, but “the earth endures for ever.” Jehovah’s purpose for the earth will be realized: “My own counsel will stand, and everything that is my delight I shall do.”—
Hence, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the earth will remain forever and that all people, living and dead, who will fit in with Jehovah’s purpose for a beautified, inhabited earth may live on it forever. All mankind inherited imperfection from Adam and Eve and, hence, are sinners. The Bible tells us: “The wages sin pays is death.” “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” Then how can they live again to share in the earthly blessings? Only through the ransom sacrifice of Christ Jesus, for he said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.”—
How will this come about? It is explained in “the good news of the kingdom,” which Jesus started to proclaim while on earth. But today Jehovah’s Witnesses are preaching the good news in a very special way.

“DO YOU KNOW WHO GOD IS”?

Hello Everyone;

I was sitting here wondering what I could write about today, and the thought came to me, How many people know who God is…I mean, how many people know His name and why He came here to earth…We are entering a season in which we offer up our thanksgiving unto to the “King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords”

Nobody knows for sure when Jesus was born, however, man has chosen this month and the day(25th of December) to glorify Jesus Christ our Saviour, our Lord…

How many people out there know what the Gospel means?

How many people out there understand the plan of Salvation that the Lord our God commanded us to follow or we would not even see Heaven?

Many people out there are being taught that all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and your saved, however, that is not what the word of God teaches His children, it is not biblical…God’s word does teach us however, what we must do in order to be saved…

Jesus Christ’s commandment:

John 3:3-7

3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God…

4) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5) Jesus answered, Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God…

6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit….

7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again…

And in the book of Acts it also so gives the plan of salvation:
Israel is asking what they must do in order to be saved:

Acts 2:38

38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall received the gift of the Holy Ghost…(This is a promise from Jesus Christ for his people)

The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Christ….

There are false religions out there teaching the Trinity, meaning that there are, Two or three God’s, which is also not biblical, it is not in the bible…The bible does teach us the oneness of God and that He is a jealous God…God created the heavens and earth all by Himself….There are no other God’s, He knows not one…

Some religions out there say that there is, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost; which is also not biblical, again it is man made doctrine, not the doctrine of Christ…(However, it does say, God the Father)

Matthew 28:19

19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Ghost….

Some say, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost is proof that there is more than one, that there are three…What they don’t understand is the scripture above is saying in the (name), not names…The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are merly titles of the one true God, Jesus Christ….The trinity is not biblical, it is a man made doctrine, we must go by the gospel of Christ, not man…

As it says in the book of:

Psalm 116:11

11) I said in my haste, All men are liars…

Romans 3:4

4) God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest overcome when thou art judged…

This is why it is important to open the bible and read and study the scriptures as God has written them…To many men/women have perverted the gospel into what makes them comfortable according to their lifestyle and this is where false doctrine comes in….With that said, I am not saying that we don’t need a Pastor to preach the word to us because how else will we learn, we must try the spirits…We must know and understand what God is telling us, what His laws and commandments instruct us to do, to conduct our lives by, how we must treat each other….

God, (Jesus Christ) is the I AM of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament..

There are religions out there that say, baptism is not necessary for salvation, however, as you can see, it is a commandment from Jesus Christ himself….

Some religions out there teach that Repentence isn’t necessary for salvation, however, the word of God says different…

3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish…

Luke 15:7

7) I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentence….

There are actually people and religions out there that say that it is okay to worship a tree or the moon, the sun, an animal, a statue, the virgin Mary, ect, that it does not matter because it is God…Well, I have read, that God is a jealous God and that there is only one God…There are millions being mislead today by false preachers, false prophets, and false teachers whom have gotten away from the true word of God and come up with their own doctrine…If we worship anything other than God, it is idolatry, anything….

These are but a few scriptures from the word of God…They are not what I have written, they are not what my Pastor has written, but the pure word of God as God meant it to be…

Don’t let man lie to you, read the bible for yourself, get you a Strong’s concordance to help you understand Hebrew and Greek words because the bible was not written in English, it was translated in our language so that we might understand what God commanded us to do….

QUESTION: Haven’t there been several revisions of the King James Bible since 1611?
ANSWER: No. There have been several editions but no revisions.

EXPLANATION: One of the last ditch defenses of a badly shaken critic of the Authorized Version 1611 is the “revision hoax.” They run to this seeming fortress in an attempt to stave off ultimate defeat by their opponents who overwhelm their feeble arguments with historic facts, manuscript evidence and to obvious workings of the Holy Spirit. Once inside, they turn self-confidently to their foes and ask with a smug look, “Which King James do you use, the 1611 or the 1629 or perhaps the 1769?” The shock of this attack and the momentary confusion that results usually allows them time to make good their escape.

THE MYTH OF EARLY REVISIONS

Introduction
Men have been “handling the word of God deceitfully” (II Cor. 4:2) ever since the devil first taught Eve how. From Cain to Balaam, from Jehudi to the scribes and Pharisees, from the Dark Age theologians to present-day scholars, the living words of the Almighty God have been prime targets for man’s corrupting hand. The attacks on the Word of God are threefold: addition, subtraction, and substitution. From Adam’s day to the computer age, the strategies have remained the same. There is nothing new under the sun.

One attack which is receiving quite a bit of attention these days is a direct attack on the Word of God as preserved in the English language: the King James Version of 1611. The attack referred to is the myth which claims that since the King James Version has already been revised four times, there should be and can be no valid objection to other revisions. This myth was used by the English Revisers of 1881 and has been revived in recent years by Fundamentalist scholars hoping to sell their latest translation. This book is given as an answer to this attack. The purpose of the material is not to convince those who would deny this preservation but to strengthen the faith of those who already believe in a preserved English Bible.

One major question often arises in any attack such as this. How far should we go in answering the critics? If we were to attempt to answer every shallow objection to the infallibility of the English Bible, we would never be able to accomplish anything else. Sanity must prevail somewhere. As always, the answer is in God’s Word. Proverbs 26:4-5 states: Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

Obviously, there are times when a foolish query should be ignored and times when it should be met with an answer. If to answer the attack will make you look as foolish as the attacker, then the best answer is to ignore the question. For instance, if you are told that the Bible cannot be infallible because so-and-so believes that it is, and he is divorced, then you may safely assume that silence is the best answer. On the other hand, there are often questions and problems that, if true, would be serious. To ignore these issues would be to leave the Bible attacker wise in his own conceit. I believe that the question of revisions to the King James Version of 1611 is a question of the second class. If the King James Version has undergone four major revisions of its text, then to oppose further revisions on the basis of an established English text would truly be faulty. For this reason, this attack should and must be answered. Can the argument be answered? Certainly! That is the purpose of this book.

I - THE PRINTING CONDITIONS OF 1611

If God did preserve His Word in the English language through the Authorized Version of 1611 (and He did), then where is our authority for the infallible wording? Is it in the notes of the translators? Or is it to be found in the proof copy sent to the printers? If so, then our authority is lost because these papers are lost. But, you say, the authority is in the first copy which came off the printing press. Alas, that copy has also certainly perished. In fact, if the printing of the English Bible followed the pattern of most printing jobs, the first copy was probably discarded because of bad quality. That leaves us with existing copies of the first printing. They are the ones often pointed out as the standard by which all other King James Bibles are to be compared. But are they? Can those early printers of the first edition not be allowed to make printing errors? We need to establish one thing from the outset. The authority for our preserved English text is not found in any human work. The authority for our preserved and infallible English text is in God! Printers may foul up at times and humans will still make plenty of errors, but God in His power and mercy will preserve His text despite the weaknesses of fallible man. Now, let us look at the pressures on a printer in the year of 1611.

Although the printing press had been invented in 1450 by Johann Gutenburg in Germany (161 years before the 1611 printing), the equipment used by the printer had changed very little. Printing was still very slow and difficult. All type was set by hand, one piece at a time (that’s one piece at a time through the whole Bible), and errors were an expected part of any completed book. Because of this difficulty and also because the 1611 printers had no earlier editions from which to profit, the very first edition of the King James Version had a number of printing errors. As shall later be demonstrated, these were not the sort of textual alterations which are freely made in modern bibles. They were simple, obvious printing errors of the sort that can still be found at times in recent editions even with all of the advantages of modem printing. These errors do not render a Bible useless, but they should be corrected in later editions.

The two original printings of the Authorized Version demonstrate the difficulty of printing in 1611 without making mistakes. Both editions were printed in Oxford. Both were printed in the same year: 1611. The same printers did both jobs. Most likely, both editions were printed on the same printing press. Yet, in a strict comparison of the two editions, approximately 100 textual differences can be found. In the same vein the King James critics can find only about 400 alleged textual alterations in the King James Version after 375 years of printing and four so-called revisions! Something is rotten in Scholarsville! The time has come to examine these revisions.”

11 - THE FOUR SO-CALLED REVISIONS
OF THE 1611 KJV

Much of the information in this section is taken from a book by F.H.A. Scrivener called The Authorized Edition of the English Bible (1611), Its Subsequent Reprints and Modern Representatives. The book is as pedantic as its title indicates. The interesting point is that Scrivener, who published this book in 1884, was a member of the Revision Committee of 1881. He was not a King James Bible believer, and therefore his material is not biased toward the Authorized Version.

In the section of Scrivener’s book dealing with the KJV “revisions,” one initial detail is striking. The first two so-called major revisions of the King James Bible occurred within 27 years of the original printing. (The language must have been changing very rapidly in those days.) The 1629 edition of the Bible printed in Cambridge is said to have been the first revision. A revision it was not, but simply a careful correction of earlier printing errors. Not only was this edition completed just eighteen years after the translation, but two of the men who participated in this printing, Dr. Samuel Ward and John Bois, had worked on the original translation of the King James Version. Who better to correct early errors than two who had worked on the original translation! Only nine years later and in Cambridge again, another edition came out which is supposed to have been the second major revision. Both Ward and Bois were still alive, but it is not known if they participated at this time. But even Scrivener, who as you remember worked on the English Revised Version of 1881, admitted that the Cambridge printers had simply reinstated words and clauses overlooked by the 1611 printers and amended manifest errors. According to a study which will be detailed later, 72% of the approximately 400 textual corrections in the KJV were completed by the time of the 1638 Cambridge edition, only 27 years after the original printing!

Just as the first two so-called revisions were actually two stages of one process: the purification of early printing errors, so the last two so-called revisions were two stages in another process: the standardization of the spelling, These two editions were only seven years apart (1762 and 1769) with the second one completing what the first had started. But when the scholars are numbering revisions, two sounds better than one. Very few textual corrections were necessary at this time. The thousands of alleged changes are spelling changes made to match the established correct forms. These spelling changes will be discussed later. Suffice it to say at this time that the tale of four major revisions is truly a fraud and a myth. But you say, there are still changes whether they be few or many. What are you going to do with the changes that are still there? Let us now examine the character of these changes.

III - THE SO-CALLED THOUSANDS
OF CHANGES

Suppose someone were to take you to a museum to see an original copy of the King James Version. You come to the glass case where the Bible is displayed and look down at the opened Bible through the glass. Although you are not allowed to flip through its pages, you can readily tell that there are some very different things about this Bible from the one you own. You can hardly read its words, and those you can make out are spelled in odd and strange ways. Like others before you, you leave with the impression that the King James Version has undergone a multitude of changes since its original printing in 1611. But beware, you have just been taken by a very clever ploy. The differences you saw are not what they seem to be. Let’s examine the evidence.

Printing Changes
For proper examination, the changes can be divided into three kinds: printing changes, spelling changes, and textual changes. Printing changes will be considered first. The type style used in 1611 by the KJV translators was the Gothic Type Style. The type style you are reading right now and are familiar with is Roman Type. Gothic Type is sometimes called Germanic because it originated in Germany. Remember, that is where printing was invented. The Gothic letters were formed to resemble the hand-drawn manuscript lettering of the Middle Ages. At first, it was the only style in use. The Roman Type Style was invented fairly early, but many years passed before it became the predominate style in most European countries. Gothic continued to be used in Germany until recent years. In 1611 in England, Roman Type was already very popular and would soon supersede the Gothic. However, the original printers chose the Gothic Style for the KJV because it was considered to be more beautiful and eloquent than the Roman. But the change to Roman Type was not long in coming. In 1612, the first King James Version using Roman Type was printed. Within a few years, all the bibles printed used the Roman Type Style.

Please realize that a change in type style no more alters the text of the Bible than a change in format or type size does. However, the modem reader who has not become familiar with Gothic can find it very difficult to understand. Besides some general change in form, several specific letter changes need to be observed. For instance, the Gothic s looks like the Roman s when used as a capital letter or at the end of a word. But when it is used as a lower case s at the beginning or in the middle of a word, the letter looks like our f. Therefore, also becomes alfo and set becomes fet. Another variation is found in the German v and u. The Gothic v looks like a Roman u while the Gothic u looks like the Roman v. This explains why our w is called a double-u and not a double-v. Sound confusing? It is until you get used to it. In the 1611 edition, love is loue, us is vs, and ever is euer. But remember, these are not even spelling changes. They are simply type style changes. In another instance, the Gothic j looks like our i. So Jesus becomes Iefus (notice the middle s changed to f) and joy becomes ioy. Even the Gothic d with the stem leaning back over the circle in a shape resembling that of the Greek Delta. These changes account for a large percentage of the “thousands” of changes in the KJV, yet they do no harm whatsoever to the text. They are nothing more than a smokescreen set up by the attackers of our English Bible.

Spelling Changes
Another kind of change found in the history of the Authorized Version are changes of orthography or spelling. Most histories date the beginning of Modern English around the year 1500. Therefore, by 1611 the grammatical structure and basic vocabulary of present-day English had long been established. However, the spelling did not stabilize at the same time. In the 1600’s spelling was according to whim. There was no such thing as correct spelling. No standards had been established. An author often spelled the same word several different ways, often in the same book and sometimes on the same page. And these were the educated people. Some of you reading this today would have found the 1600’s a spelling paradise. Not until the eighteenth century did the spelling begin to take a stable form. Therefore, in the last half of the eighteenth century, the spelling of the King James Version of 1611 was standardized.

What kind of spelling variations can you expect to find between your present edition and the 1611 printing? Although every spelling difference cannot be categorized, several characteristics are very common. Additional e’s were often found at the end of the words such as feare, darke, and beare. Also, double vowels were much more common than they are today. You would find ee, bee, and mooued instead of me, be, and moved. Double consonants were also much more common. What would ranne, euill, and ftarres be according to present-day spelling? See if you can figure them out. The present-day spellings would be ran, evil, and stars. These typographical and spelling changes account for almost all of the so-called thousands of changes in the King James Bible. None of them alter the text in any way. Therefore they cannot be honestly compared with thousands of true textual changes which are blatantly made in the modern versions.

Textual Changes
Almost all of the alleged changes have been accounted for. We now come to the question of actual textual differences between our present editions and that of 1611. There are some differences between the two, but they are not the changes of a revision. They are instead the correction of early printing errors. That this is a fact may be seen in three things: (1) the character of the changes, (2) the frequency of the changes throughout the Bible, and (3) the time the changes were made. First, let us look at the character of the changes made from the time of the first printing of the Authorized English Bible.

The changes from the 1611 edition that are admittedly textual are obviously printing errors because of the nature of these changes. They are not textual changes made to alter the reading. In the first printing, words were sometimes inverted. Sometimes a plural was written as singular or visa versa. At times a word was miswritten for one that was similar. A few times a word or even a phrase was omitted. The omissions were obvious and did not have the doctrinal implications of those found in modern translations. In fact, there is really no comparison between the corrections made in the King James text and those proposed by the scholars of today.

F.H.A. Scrivener, in the appendix of his book, lists the variations between the 1611 edition of the KJV and later printings. A sampling of these corrections is given below. In order to be objective, the samples give the first textual correction on consecutive left hand pages of Scrivener’s book. The 1611 reading is given first; then the present reading; and finally, the date the correction was first made.

Before your eyes are 5% of the textual changes made in the King James Version in 375 years. Even if they were not corrections of previous errors, they would be of no comparison to modem alterations. But they are corrections of printing errors, and therefore no comparison is at all possible. Look at the list for yourself and you will find only one that has serious doctrinal implications. In fact, in an examination of Scrivener’s entire appendix, it is the only variation found by this author that could be accused of being doctrinal. I am referring to Psalm 69:32 where the 1611 edition has “seek good” when the Bible should have read “seek God.” Yet, even with this error, two points demonstrate that this was indeed a printing error. First, the similarity of the words “good” and “God” in spelling shows how easily a weary type setter could misread the proof and put the wrong word in the text. Second, this error was so obvious that it was caught and corrected in the year 1617, only six years after the original printing and well before the first so-called revision. The myth that there are several major revisions to the 1611 KJV should be getting clearer. But there is more.

Not only does the character of the changes show them to be printing errors, so does their frequency. Fundamentalist scholars refer to the thousands of revisions made to the 1611 as if they were on a par with the recent bible versions. They are not. The overwhelming majority of them are either type style or spelling changes. The few which do remain are clearly corrections of printing errors made because of the tediousness involved in the early printing process. The sample list given above will demonstrate just how careful Scrivener was in listing all the variations. Yet, even with this great care, only approximately 400 variations are named between the 1611 edition and modern copies. Remember that there were 100 variations between the first two Oxford editions which were both printed in 1611. Since there are almost 1200 chapters in the Bible, the average variation per chapter (after 375 years) is one third, i.e., one correction per every three chapters. These are changes such as “chief rulers” to “chief ruler” and “And Parbar” to “At Parbar.” But there is yet one more evidence that these variations are simply corrected printing errors: the early date at which they were corrected.

The character and frequency of the textual changes clearly
separate them from modern alterations. But the time the changes were made settles the issue absolutely. The great majority of the 400 corrections were made within a few years of the original printing. Take, for example, our earlier sampling. Of the twenty corrections listed, one was made in 1613, one in 1616, one in 1617, eight in 1629, five in 1638, one in 1743, two in 1762, and one in 1769. That means that 16 out of 20 corrections, or 80%, were made within twenty-seven years of the 1611 printing. That is hardly the long drawn out series of revisions the scholars would have you to believe. In another study made by examining every other page of Scrivener’s appendix in detail, 72% of the textual corrections were made by 1638. There is no “revision” issue.

The character of the textual changes is that of obvious errors. The frequency of the textual changes is sparse, occurring only once per three chapters. The chronology of the textual changes is early with about three fourths of them occurring within twenty-seven years of the first printing. All of these details establish the fact that there were no true revisions in the sense of updating the language or correcting translation errors. There were only editions which corrected early typographical errors. Our source of authority for the exact wording of the 1611 Authorized Version is not in the existing copies of the first printing. Our source of authority for the exact wording of our English Bible is in the preserving power of Almighty God. Just as God did not leave us the original autographs to fight and squabble over, so He did not see fit to leave us the proof copy of the translation. Our authority is in the hand of God as always. You can praise the Lord for that!

IV - CHANGES IN THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES

An in-depth study of the changes made in the book of Ecclesiastes would help to illustrate the principles stated above. The author is grateful to Dr. David Reese of Millbrook, Alabama, for his work in this area. By comparing a 1611 reprint of the original edition put out by Thomas Nelson & Sons with recent printing of the King James Version, Dr. Reese was able to locate four variations in the book of Ecclesiastes. The reference is given first; then the text of the Thomas Nelson 1611 reprint. This is followed by the reading of the present editions of the 1611 KJV and the date the change was made.

Several things should be noted about these changes. The last variation (”thing is it” to “thing it is”) is not mentioned by Scrivener who was a very careful and accurate scholar. Therefore, this change may be a misprint in the Thomas Nelson reprint. That would be interesting. The corrected omission in chapter eight is one of the longest corrections of the original printing. But notice that it was corrected in 1629. The frequency of printing errors is average (four errors in twelve chapters). But the most outstanding fact is that the entire book of Ecclesiastes reads exactly like our present editions without even printing errors by the year 1638. That’s approximately 350 years ago. By that time, the Bible was being printed in Roman type.

Therefore, all (and I mean all) that has changed in 350 years in the book of Ecclesiastes is that the spelling has been standardized! As stated before, the main purpose of the 1629 and 1638 Cambridge editions was the correction of earlier printing errors. And the main purpose of the 1762 and 1769 editions was the standardization of spelling.

V - THE SO-CALLED JUSTIFICATION
FOR OTHER REVISIONS

Maybe now you see that the King James Version of 1611 has not been revised but only corrected. But why does it make that much difference? Although there are several reasons why this issue is important, the most pressing one is that fundamentalist scholars are using this myth of past revisions to justify their own tampering with the text. The editors of the New King James Version have probably been the worst in recent years to use this propaganda ploy. In the preface of the New King James they have stated, “For nearly four hundred years, and throughout several revisions of its English form, the King James Bible has been deeply revered among the English-speaking peoples of the world. “In the midst of their flowery rhetoric, they strongly imply that their edition is only a continuation of the revisions that have been going on for the past 375 years. This implication, which has been stated directly by others, could not be more false. To prove this point, we will go back to the book of Ecclesiastes.

An examination of the first chapter in Ecclesiastes in the New King James Version reveals approximately 50 changes from our present edition. In order to be fair, spelling changes (cometh to comes; labour to labor; etc.) were not included in this count. That means there are probably about 600 alterations in the book of Ecclesiastes and approximately 60,000 changes in the entire Bible. If you accuse me of including every recognizable change, you are correct. But I am only counting the sort of changes which were identified in analyzing the 1611 King James. That’s only fair. Still, the number of changes is especially baffling for a version which claims to be an updating in the same vein as earlier revisions. According to the fundamentalist scholar, the New King James is only a fifth in a series of revisions. Then pray tell me how four “revisions” and 375 years brought only 400 changes while the fifth revision brought about 60,000 additional changes? That means that the fifth revision made 150 times more changes than the total number of changes in the first four! That’s preposterous!

Not only is the frequency of the changes unbelievable, but the character of the alterations are serious. Although many of the alterations seem harmless enough at first glance, many are much more serious. The editors of the New King James Version were sly enough not to alter the most serious blunders of the modern bibles. Yet, they were not afraid to change the reading in those places that are unfamiliar to the average fundamentalist. In these areas, the New King James Version is dangerous. Below are some of the more harmful alterations made in the book of Ecclesiastes. The reference is given first; then the reading as found in the King James Version; and last, the reading as found in the New King James Version.
